PATRICIA LILLIE - METAL CLAY -METAL IN MOTION
Join me for a week of exploring and creating metal clay jewelry designs that have motion.This is an all level skills class and is great for those learning new metal clay techniques or refining your design and construction skills. We will be designing and constructing with Art Clay Fine Silver using textures and shapes of your choosing. The student will create 4-5 projects that explore the nature of metal clay and it’s forming and firing needs to create strong, wearable fine jewelry that have integral motion. Simple hinges, hidden design bails, sliders and spinning elements are the focus. Join me for a week of creating, and fun self expression in metal clay.
Lab Fee: $300
Materials Fee: $150-$300
Prerequisites: All Levels are welcome.

Patricia Lillie - Metal Clay
I have been interested in 2D and 3D art forms since I was a child. I received my BA of fine arts in Painting and in Drawing from the University of South Alabama, and a additional degree in Graphic Design from the Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
I worked for a creative design firm in Marietta, GA until 2007. In 2000, I was introduced to lapidary arts and jewelry metalsmithing. Over the years, I have been able to take numerous classes on metalsmithing, casting and stone cutting. I love being able to design, cut my own stone and create jewelry pieces from start to finish. In 2002, I was introduced to metal clay and fell in love with its forming abilities and compatibility with metalsmithing. I received a Senior Certification in Precious Metal Clay and later an Art Clay Senior Certification. I have loved teaching metal clay art classes since then in classroom setting, such as, the Spruill Center for the Arts in Atlanta, GA, in my personal studio in Marietta and at William Holland School of Lapidary. I really enjoy learning new ideas and techniques and being able to pass these concepts and skills on to others who are also interested in the arts.
