AUGUST 11-17, 2025 WILDACRES - WEEK 1
GAIL DELUCA - BEAD EMBROIDERY
Explore the possibilities of combining beads, fabric and thread in this class that is suitable for all levels. We will be working with tiny glass beads, so patience, good lighting, and good eyesight are the key tools you will need to succeed in this class.
You will learn how to stitch beads to fabric and how to finish your pieces with backing and findings to create jewelry or decorative objects.
The kinds of projects we will be doing are completely up to you, and I will have supplies to stitch simple pendants, fringed earrings, or cute little animals. You may choose to create designs from your own drawings, and we will have tools and supplies to help you do that.
Enough supplies to keep you busy all week are included in the class, but upgraded supplies will be available for purchase. You are welcome to bring your own stash of supplies. This might be a special cabochon or small object, or just your favorite beads.
You will need to bring task lighting and magnification if needed. All other tools and supplies will be provided for your use during class.
Lab Fee: $100
Estimated Materials Cost: Depending on extra materials
