Bio:
Amber Dockery - Fantastic Leathercraft
Amber is an artist and leatherworker that grew up in Metro Atlanta. She has been working with leather and teaching the craft for 22+ years. Growing up, she was mentored by her Grandfather about hides and became fascinated with beading on leather and crafting costuming and historical replicas. She got her start teaching this craft to others with k-12 school systems in North Georgia, and groups such as Scouts, 4-H, and County parks. Amber has also worked alongside Tandy Leather Company for many years, and she has worked all over the Southeast with different artist groups and conventions. She enjoyed working as an artist/ staff/and panelist for the Dragon Con Art Show for several years. Through her leather craft business, she has shipped projects and connected with people from across the world.
She is excited to bring her knowledge of the Craft and pass it on to help other artists learn more about this fascinating medium! She also is very excited and honored to work with SFMS (as she has also been fascinated by rocks and Jewelry making). Amber currently lives with her family and beloved gaggle of mostly rescue pets in Hiram, Ga.
