Instructor for Southwest Silver
at Wildacres September
Morning retired as the owner/operator of a home interior designer and window treatment business in 2006. The next year she took her first silversmith class at William School of Lapidary Arts and quickly discovered a new medium to express her creative energies. Since that time she has studied silver from many different instructors. She has also taken classes in fused glass, several mixed metals/cold connection classes from Kim St. Jean, lamp work bead making in Huntsville, wire wrapping jewelry thru the advanced level. In the summer of 2014 she received level 3 and certification from Teva Jane Chaffin. In the fall of 2015 and the spring of 2016 she studied chasing and repousse at William Holland and Wild Acres under Tom and Kay Benham.
Morning enjoys using these techniques with semi-precious stone cut and polished by her husband. Together they create one of a kind collectible adornments that will be loved for years.
She recently won best of show for jewelry at the Troy Art Show and also People’s Choice and 1st place awards for her creations. She was also the president of the Montgomery Gem and Mineral Society for three years. Morning has been blessed with the God given talent of Creativity and enjoys sharing her knowledge with others. Her classes are fun and paced for the individual students skill.
