Instructor for Flame Painting
at William Holland
With a degree in Clothing and Textiles, Janet Pace started her business in 1986 with a line of patterns for making Battenburg Lace and Smocking for Women. Later, she discovered the knitting machine and began designing patterns for the machine and teaching her techniques at knitting seminars. She has been attending classes at Wm. Holland since 2001 with her sister, Dianne Brooks, from Punta Gorda FL. and fell in love with making jewelry. Soon she began teaching classes across the state of Arkansas at various bead shops and invitational venues. Her latest fun adventure is Flame Painting on Copper: the precise placement of colors and patterns using different temperatures of the torch flame. Fortunately, she was able to learn from Skip and Racheal Matthews who developed the techniques and have since certified Janet to teach their methods. See examples of her work at .
